KDay 2015 [Review]

This year 94.5Kfm and MTN decided to change things up a little with a fresh new venue for KDay 2015 and end February on a high.

Newlands Cricket Ground saw fans of all ages arrive to see their favourite artists play on the KDay 2015 stage. Not only were there around 15 000 fans at Newlands Cricket Ground, but there were also over 42 000 others streaming KDay 2015 live via Livestream.com. The stream ranked in the top three, and had views from not only South Africa but in the Unites States and Germany too.

KDay 2015

Like 94.7 Joburg Day, the lineup for KDay always delivers one of the best music festivals. The lineup of the day included something for everyone. Reburn, Elvis Blue, Matthew Mole, MonArk, Lloyd Cele, Beatenberg, DJ Kent, Jimmy Nevis, Goodluck, Mi Casa, Prime Circle and Mafikizolo all gave their fans something to sing and dance to.

Thankfully the mother city seemed to enjoy the day too and gave us the best weather for a great day. Being my first KDay, KDay 2015 was truly an awesome day out. Standout performances in my option by Lloyd Cele Goodluck, Mi Casa and Prime Circle really got the crowds going.

A highlight from the night was a performance by Prime Circle, who sang their song “Doors” in collaboration with the choir from St. George’s Grammar School.

If you’re like me and can’t wait for the next KDay, follow 94.5Kfm on Twitter, Like them on Facebook or check out their website for more updates closer to the time.
