FNB Launching FNB Smartphone

In an effort to make mobile banking more accessible, FNB is launching its own branded smartphone.

FNB’s CEO of Consumer, Jan Kleynhans, and Head of Smart Devices, Kartik Mistry, today announced the release of it’s FNB branded Android smartphones which will be available from 380 of FNB’s branches this Friday – 26 August 2016. The “ConeXis” will come in two models, the ConeXis A1 and ConeXis X1.

The ConeXis A1 is aimed at the price sensitive FNB Easy bank account holder and will cost as little as R59 per month. R59 per month will not only buy you the 1.2GHz Quad Core ConeXis A1, but will also include 50MB data and 15Min call time for 24 months. FNB will also throw in a Power bank, protective back cover and tempered glass screen protector.



ConeXis X1

For FNB Gold Premier, Private Clients and Private Wealth clients, they will also have access to the higher-end ConeXis X1 for R150 per month. The X1 comes with a 1.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor, 1GB Ram, 5.2″ HD display and 8GB of internal storage, packaged in a device with a premium look and feel to it.
FNB will also include 100MB data and 25Min call time for 24 months.

Your spend on the ConeXis smartphone will also be integrated with your FNB rewards and banking program. FNB will be offering up to 100% off of your monthly installments, depending on your eBucks reward level. “Gold customers on eBucks Rewards level of 3, 4, 5 will be rebated R60, R90, R150 (100%) on the monthly repayment respectively. Premium customers will be rewarded from level 1,” says FNB.
