Every now and again someone comes up with an idea that smells a bit fishy. But when Rhapsody’s Brooklyn came up with this idea a little while ago, the fishy idea led to something genius and resulted in a Rhapsody’s Sushi Workshop at Rhapsody’s Brooklyn.
Last night I had the opportunity to attend Rhapsody’s Brooklyn’s 4th sushi workshop and I decided more people need to know about the awesomeness that happens at these workshops and hopefully ignite the inner sushi chef inside someone.
Rhapsody’s Sushi Workshop, how it works…
I was told to never play with my food, so I went Asian.

It’s not every day you just decide to do a Guinness world Record, especially something that requires you staying awake for long periods of time, just ask @BraaiBoy about his world record. But, after a couple of months of planning, 94.7 Highveld Stereo radio DJ Alex Caige and Tuks FM DJ Cassy Clarke are attempting the #TuksFMRecord.
They are attempting to break the longest team radio broadcast in history, by hosting a radio broadcast from a van for 75 hours in Hatfield Square. The new album by Crash Car Burn was released on the 22nd of October 2012, and if you haven’t already got a copy, I’d strongly recommend that you do! Not sure who CrashCarBurn is? Do song names like “Twisted”, “Serenade”, “Skin Versus Bone” or “Heroes” ring any bells?
The new single “The Light” was released and made available as a free download via the Crash Car Burn Facebook page and a mobile link on the 6th of October. The catch? The new album is considered one of the band’s best albums to-date and has that typical Crash Car Burn sound to it.
The band is launching the album at ... Read More
On Friday 26 October, after working on the CD for the last 3 and a half years, the wait was finally over for Christiaan Kritzinger who debuted his new CD “Mal Vir Jou” at the Aula building in the University of Pretoria. The show had performances by Medu, ‘n Man Soos Jan and of course Christiaan Kritzinger and a guest appearance by Richard van der Westhuizen.
Christiaan performed the tracks off of his virtually all Afrikaans CD and gave those in the audience inside information on some the songs as well as the some of the events surrounding the writing of the songs that he himself wrote. Read More
